We’ve continued investing in our growing city while keeping affordability and value for taxpayers front and centre. In 2025, 80% of surveyed residents said they receive good value for their tax dollars.

A renewed Veterans Park, Donald Pathway and Leigh Square.
We’ve transformed the heart of downtown with welcoming public spaces, more parking and new places to gather, play, celebrate and support local businesses. Leigh Square alone hosted 35 events in its first year reopened — and the best is yet to come.

We’ve worked to create more housing choices, speed up approvals and add hundreds of new licensed childcare spaces to better support families in our growing community. As PoCo grows, we’re planning for the homes, services and amenities people need at every stage of life.

We’ve advanced major projects like the Gates Park Soccer Hub, new covered Multi-Use Sports Facility and PoCo Climb, while continuing to invest in parks, trails, playgrounds and recreation amenities. Millions in provincial funding are helping deliver these projects while reducing the cost to local taxpayers.

As Council designate, I’ve been proud to help champion sensory-friendly programming, more accessible facilities, playgrounds and events, expanded recreation financial assistance, and City-funded 1:1 support for children and youth with disabilities.

From major Kingsway upgrades and safer transportation connections to roads, utilities and flood protection, we’re maintaining what we have while building for what comes next. This includes major upgrades to the Cedar Creek and Maple Creek pump stations to strengthen flood protection for our community.

I’ve helped modernize the City’s approach to events — streamlining the process for community organizers, focusing resources where they have the greatest impact, and creating a new sponsorship program to offset costs. It’s now easier to bring events and celebrations to PoCo and add more energy and life to spaces like Leigh Square.

Get to know Paige
Community Builder. Mother. Entrepreneur. Advocate.
Paige Petriw is a Port Coquitlam City Councillor, marketing and partnerships professional, award-winning entrepreneur, community advocate and working mom with more than 15 years of experience across the private, non-profit and public sectors.
Her involvement in civic life began well before she was elected. Paige served for four years on the Mayor's Citizen Advisory Roundtable and has contributed her time and expertise to numerous community organizations, committees and charitable initiatives throughout the Tri-Cities.
In 2022, Paige was elected to Port Coquitlam City Council, where she has spent the past four years gaining hands-on experience with municipal budgets, housing and development, infrastructure, long-term planning and the complex decisions involved in governing a growing city. As Council designate for Events, Celebration, Community Experience, Accessibility & Inclusion, she has been a strong voice for creating a community where people of all ages and abilities can participate, connect and belong.
Before entering elected office, Paige built an award-winning Port Coquitlam events and marketing company and became a prominent advocate for B.C.'s event industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, working with industry partners, advocating to government and contributing regularly to media coverage of the sector.
Her community leadership has been recognized locally, including being named the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Young Professional of the Year in 2023 and a Young Professionals Top to Watch Award recipient in 2018.
Paige has volunteered with organizations supporting healthcare, hospice care, families, seniors, vulnerable women and local charities, and has spent much of her professional career producing events that have raised significant funds for charitable causes.
As a mother raising two young boys in Port Coquitlam, including a son with autism, Paige brings both professional experience and an everyday understanding of the pressures facing families — from affordability and childcare to transportation, recreation and building an accessible community where everyone belongs.
She is seeking a second term with more experience, more confidence and an even stronger determination to get things done for Port Coquitlam.
